Refund and Cancellation Policy

How cancellations and refunds are handled for Things LLC engagements and payments.

Effective 5 August 2026

Scope

This policy applies to payments made to Things LLC for consulting, development, and related professional services.

It is a summary of how we handle cancellations and refunds. It is not the contract. It creates no entitlement on its own, and it does not modify or replace any signed agreement.

The engagement agreement controls

Consulting engagements are governed by an executed services agreement or statement of work. Fees, deposits, invoicing schedule, project cancellation terms, and refund eligibility are specified in that document.

Where this policy and a signed agreement differ, the signed agreement controls.

How engagements are delivered

Work is performed remotely by our own team unless an agreement provides otherwise. An engagement begins once a services agreement or statement of work is executed, and delivery runs against the scope, milestones, and schedule that document sets rather than a fixed published timeframe.

Deliverables are provided electronically. No physical goods are sold and nothing is shipped, so there is no shipping or returns process. Where an engagement includes ongoing operation or support, the agreement states what is covered and for how long.

Cancelling an engagement

Either party may cancel an engagement on the terms set out in the applicable agreement, which states the required notice and what becomes payable on cancellation. Cancellation should be given in writing.

Work already scheduled may not be recoverable at short notice, and the agreement sets out how that is treated.

Completed work and committed costs

Unless otherwise stated in writing, payments for work already performed and for non-cancellable costs already incurred on your behalf are non-refundable.

Deposits and advance payments are applied as set out in the applicable agreement.

Currency, invoicing, and payment

Fees are quoted, invoiced, and payable in United States dollars (USD) unless an agreement states otherwise. Any figure shown on this site, including the indicative budget ranges on the contact form, is in USD.

Invoices are issued by Things LLC. Accepted payment methods are listed on the invoice and may include major credit and debit cards and bank transfer. Charges appear on your statement as Things LLC. Applicable taxes are additional unless an agreement states otherwise.

Payment security

Card payments are handled by a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor. Things LLC does not receive or store full card numbers, and payment details are transmitted over an encrypted connection.

This website does not collect payment information. It is served over HTTPS, and no part of it asks for card or bank details.

Products we operate

Software applications, data services, and APIs that Things LLC operates are sold separately from consulting engagements. Each runs under its own brand and payment profile and publishes its own cancellation and refund terms at the point of purchase. Those terms govern that product, and this policy does not apply to it.

Questions about a payment

Questions about an invoice, a deposit, or a payment may be sent to contact@thingsdev.co. Include the invoice or engagement reference and what you would like reviewed. We will look into any billing question raised in good faith and respond in writing.

Disputes and chargebacks

If a charge appears incorrect, contact us before opening a dispute with your bank or card issuer. Billing questions are usually resolved faster directly, and a dispute filed first limits what either side can do about it.

Your legal rights

Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under applicable law. Where the law provides a remedy greater than this policy describes, that remedy applies.
